Kostas Lianos from Kokkinovrysi, Trichonida, was just 22 years old when he set sail for Australia with ten crumpled U.S. dollars in his pocket. The young migrant was tested in various “battlefields” in the Antipodes: from factories to nightclubs, the Greek threw himself into hard work with passion and dedication, something that eventually paid off. Throughout his life, he took on numerous roles: worker, salesman, entrepreneur, parliamentary candidate… Kostas Lianos thrived abroad, “purchasing” with those ten dollars a new life in the Fifth Continent.
