Introducing Australia to hundreds of Greek expatriates

Hundreds of Greeks from the diaspora have been introduced to the beauty of the “emerald” fifth continent through the bus tours of Savvas Salpigidis, a migrant from Paleo Eleftherochori in Pieria who decided to test his mettle abroad. The path awaiting the Greek expatriate was not immediately clear, nor was there any guarantee that his efforts would ultimately be rewarded. Yet, during the countless kilometres covered in his tireless routes, Savvas realised that the sweetest reward was not monetary—it was the smiles of his fellow Greeks abroad, when they discovered the beauty of their new homeland.
