Ioanna Liakakou, originally from Aigio, made a significant contribution to the literary and cultural scene of the Greek Diaspora in Australia. After witnessing the horrors of the occupation and living imprisoned in her own home, the Greek woman decided to set sail for a country she knew only from stories. In the Fifth Continent, she discovered her limits, working tirelessly in a tobacco factory. Yet life had other plans for the immigrant, who, whenever and wherever she found a moment amidst her work, would scribble down a story or poem on a crumpled piece of paper…
