Sotirios Biris was born in 1945 in the picturesque village of Paliochori, near Dimitsana, nestled in the heart of Arcadia. He was just fourteen when he made the bold decision to leave his village and move to Athens, where he worked tirelessly as a marble craftsman. But even the capital couldn’t hold him for long. With his parents’ blessing and their hopes for a better life, Sotirios set off for faraway Australia, an unknown land, yet full of promise. It was a country that rewarded hard work and determination. There, he toiled, built a home, married, and became a father, putting down roots in a new homeland.
