Α beacon for the community press in Australia, George Hatzivasilis was born in Alexandria, Egypt, with a passion for letters, words, and books from a young age. When he emigrated to the Antipodes, however, his dream transcended the pages of fiction and took on “flesh and bones”: George became a journalist. He expressed his ideas and thoughts through various media. Likewise, he fought in diverse ways for the reconciliation of the Greek Diaspora and for the better organisation of expatriate Greek associations in the Antipodes.
